Managing Director

With over 15 years of experience in civil engineering and infrastructure, I have built a career delivering high-profile projects for some of the UK's leading contractors. My experience spans rail, highways, marine, nuclear and heavy civil engineering, leading teams on technically complex schemes where safety, planning and quality are critical to success.

As Managing Director of Notus Site Services, I am passionate about raising standards within the industry by providing clients with trusted engineering expertise, innovative and value engineered solutions and a collaborative approach to project delivery. My ambition is to establish Notus as a recognised partner for safe, efficient and technically challenging projects across the UK.

As Co-CEO of Notus Industrial Services Group and a director of Notus Site Services, I bring a founder's mindset to the business. I have spent my career building companies from the ground up in UK infrastructure and heavy engineering, including co-founding Notus Contract Lifting and leading Notus Ground Safe. I have also led acquisitions, joint ventures and group restructures, so I understand what it takes to turn a strong team and a good service into a business that scales.

My role at Notus Site Services is to set the strategy, secure the investment and give the team the backing it needs to grow quickly and sustainably. Being part of the wider Notus Industrial Service Group means Notus Site Services can offer clients a joined-up service across design, civils, structures, geotechnical works, lifting and ground protection, and move into growth sectors such as data centres with real capability behind it. My focus is building a business clients choose for quality and reliability, and one our people are proud to be part of for the long term.

Jon Callow

HSQE Manager

As HSEQ Manager at Notus Site Services, I bring a broad range of experience spanning construction, steel fabrication within the chemicals industry, carpentry on large inner-city projects, modular buildings and over ten years in the lifting industry. This varied background gives me a practical understanding of the challenges faced by site teams and the importance of careful planning, competent people and effective risk management in delivering safe, successful projects.

My focus is on making health, safety, environmental and quality standards part of everyday working practices. By working closely with our management, site teams and supply chain, I help develop clear procedures, support informed decisions and encourage people to raise concerns and suggest improvements. I bring a practical, approachable style to the role, helping Notus Site Services protect its people, minimise environmental impact and deliver consistent quality for our clients.

Adam Thomas

Technical Director

Adam has been part of the Notus family from the very beginning, proud to have been the first employee of Notus Contract Lifting in its early days, and now brings that same commitment to Notus Site Services.

Starting out as a Slinger / Signaller, Adam built his career from the ground up on site, before moving on to operate mobile cranes in the regional crane hire sector and later progressing into contract lifting with a range of heavy crane hire companies. That hands-on background gives him a real understanding of what it takes to keep a site moving safely and efficiently.

In 2020 Adam was promoted to Technical Director, overseeing day-to-day operations alongside Contract Lift Managers and CAD Engineers. Today, he applies that experience to Notus Site Services, supporting the delivery of loose works around civils packages across multiple sectors, from planning and coordination through to safe execution on site.

With a sharp eye for detail and a genuine passion for the industry, Adam enjoys finding practical, innovative solutions that support both the office and site teams. He thrives on challenging projects where thinking outside the box is a must, making sure every job is delivered on time and on budget, while upholding the high standards Notus is known for.

Simon Crawley

Sales and Commercial Director

With over 25 years of experience in the Heavy Lift and Transport industry, I bring a wealth of practical, operational and commercial knowledge, having progressed from a Trainee Operator through project supervision and management to my current role in sales.

Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of clients across multiple industry sectors, developing a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and challenges associated with heavy lifting and transportation projects.

This breadth of experience enables me to assess project requirements, understand operational challenges and identify safe, efficient and commercially viable solutions tailored to each client’s specific needs.

As the Sales and Commercial Director and working in partnership with the wider Notus team, I am confident in our ability to provide innovative, dependable and effective solutions, regardless of the scale or complexity of the challenge.

Our objective is to build strong working relationships, understand our customers’ requirements and deliver a service that consistently adds value, from initial enquiry through to successful project completion.

Ben Borroff

Group Financial Controller

I am Group Financial Controller and a qualified ACA Chartered Accountant with over 12 years of finance experience. Having trained and qualified in practice, I have since built extensive commercial experience across the Construction and Renewable Energy sectors, supporting financial strategy, operational performance, and business growth.

I will be taking on responsibility for the full finance function at Notus Site Services and am excited to support the business as it continues to go from strength to strength over the coming months and years, ensuring the team is fully supported on all finance-related matters.

Outside of work, I enjoy football and running and am a lifelong supporter of Manchester City F.C., attending as many games as possible around family life with my two young children.
